We Heart Maryland Blog Hop!

We are very excited to team up with our fellow 'Marylanders' to bring you a fun filled blog hop! Although our state is small there are a lot of great things to see and do. Hop along with us to see what we love about our great state of Maryland. In addition, each one of us is hosting a giveaway of one product from our TeachersPayTeachers Store. You don't want to miss out on this one. Also, keep reading because there is a surprise for you at the end of this post.
Who doesn't LOVE a giveaway?!?
We're giving away a copy of :
...to ONE lucky winner!

This pack is full of literacy and math centers and activities that are fun but also skill-centered at the same time!

Ocean-Themed I Spy

Place Value Plunge
Children count the base ten blocks on a card and find the right place to record the numeral on a blank or completed hundreds chart.

Ocean Observer Sight Word Game
Children read a sight word and place it on their game board to match the animal on their card. First person to complete their board and read all their words again wins!

These are just a few of the fun activities in this pack, but you can check out the rest here. You can enter below to win this pack. Good luck!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

We have a great freebie for you too!
This "Crabby Vowels" center is part of the "Oceans of Fun" pack featured in the giveaway above.
This center is great for your children to practice their CVC words. Each crab has a picture on his back and three vowel bubbles between his claws. Under the crab is the first and last letter of the CVC word with the vowel missing. Children will tap out the word and then "pop" the vowels that do not belong. The remaining vowel will be used to finish spelling the CVC word.

You can get your free copy here!
Crabby Vowels will only be free until February 20, 2016.
(This product is no longer free, thank you for understanding!)
There really is so much to see and do here.
We are going to tell you a little about some of our favorite things.
Blue Crabs
It is definitely a "Maryland Thing". We grow up catching crabs on string with chicken necks as bait. They always have to be steamed, not boiled, and they have to have lots of Old Bay Seasoning!

Baltimore Inner Harbor
There is so much to do here in Charm City! It is great for a spring family outing. We have the National Aquarium, The Power Plant, Trolley Rides, Children's Museum, Science Center, World Trade Center, Fort McHenry, art museum, Harborplace (food and shopping), historic ships, and even a carousel!
Sheew, makes for a busy but fun day!

Baltimore Orioles
Win or lose, always support the home team! Just hanging out in Camden Yards for the day is fun all on its own!

Chesapeake Bay Bridge
Beautiful and unique, yet scary and frustrating at the same time.
This 4.3 mile long bridge connects the western shore of Maryland to the eastern shore of Maryland. It stands approximately 186 feet above the Chesapeake Bay.

Ocean City
The beach. Enough said.

Thank you so much for hopping by. We hope you enjoy your freebie and have entered our giveaway! If you are ever in Maryland, stop by and say hello!

Your next stop is Primarily Penguins. Click on the picture below.
