'Tis the season....for assessing, assessing, assessing, and report cards. While this can be a stressful time, it can also be a rewarding time as well. It is amazing how far the children have come since the beginning of the school year!
Here is one of our favorite things to do...play a cube game! The children will cheer when I say we are gong to play a cube game today. Haha. Who ever thought that tally marks and graphing could be so much fun? If you are like me and you are happy to see Spring arrive, then you will love this adorable spring cube made with cute clipart from Scrappin Doodles. You can look for it here in our Teachers Pay Teachers store: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Spring-Cube-Game

Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Here is my March bulletin board! It turned out really cute. The children made the rainbows out of pieces of tissue paper that they rolled into balls and glued on the rainbow. The writing prompt was, "What would you want to find at the end of the rainbow?" They wrote their answer on a pot of gold. Some of the children wanted to find a dog or a pony or candy at the end of the rainbow. But there was one who said they wanted to find spy hat so he could spy on people. Haha!! I wonder what he wants to find out about others and who he wants to spy on. Happy March everyone!! I hope you find something wonderful at the end of the rainbow!

Dental Health Fun!
We made this mouth using apples, mini marshmallows, and caramel. I know, I know, not everything is healthy for your teeth, but boy did we have a lot of fun making them!! I loved hearing the fun and excitement in their comments while they were making them. The challenge was getting all the pieces to hold together. As I was taking pictures, some of the children held their creation up to their mouths saying, "Look at my teeth."

Valentine's Day
I have had a few glitches since starting the blog, but I think I have them all figured out. Whew! I am so excited to get this endeavor rolling along!
It has been a fun and exciting couple of months in kindergarten since I have started this blog. In January we learned all about winter and animals in winter. We have yet to have any snow in Maryland this year (which is okay with me) but the children would love to see some.
I took a picture of each of my students with their arm stretched out in front of them and their hand in a fist. I changed the background so it would have a Valentine's feel to it. After printing, I added the heart lollipop so it looks as if the child is holding it out. So adorable!! They turned out great. I did learn however, that position of the children's arm is important. A few of them had their arm stretched out in front of them so when I added the lollipop it covered their face. They still turned out adorable, but I will know better for next year! Everyone seemed to enjoy them!

February has been very busy as well with President's Day, Dental Health and Valentine's Day. This year I tried something new for Valentine's Day. I found this great idea on Pinterest (www.pinterest.com). Take a look, how cute is this???
